Visiting Albisia at Hyde Park Village: What to Expect

Albisia lives at Hyde Park Village, one of Tampa Bay's most loved neighborhood shopping streets, tucked into the tree-lined blocks of South Tampa. If you have never visited, or you are bringing a friend for the first time, here is what to expect.

Where we are

You will find us at 1605 W Snow Circle, Tampa, FL 33606, inside Hyde Park Village. The neighborhood keeps a quiet, unhurried pace that suits us. This is not a mall, and we are not that kind of jewelry store. Hyde Park Village is where people come when they want something that means something.

Parking is easy: there is a garage just off Snow Avenue, and street parking throughout the neighborhood. The area is worth an afternoon on its own, with good coffee, restaurants and independent boutiques within a short walk.

The studio

When you walk into Albisia you are walking into a working studio as much as a store. The pieces in the cases are made by hand by Albisia herself, the designer whose hands shape every ring, cuff and chain that carries the name. You can see the philosophy in the details: the hammer marks, the deliberate weight of the gold, the way each stone was chosen for its own character rather than a grade on paper.

There is no pressure here. We like talking about jewelry, how it is made, what it means, why a particular stone ended up in a particular piece. Come in to browse, come in with a question, come in with an idea. All of it is welcome.

What we offer in the studio

The collection in person. The full range of 18k and 14k gold fine jewelry, 14k gold filled everyday pieces and sterling silver is here to see and try on. A photograph on a screen is one thing; holding a piece, wearing it and seeing how it moves is another.

Custom consultations. If you have an idea, an engagement ring, a piece to mark something, an heirloom you want reimagined, a studio visit is the best place to start. Bring reference images, bring the old piece, or bring only a feeling. We work out the rest together.

Permanent jewelry. Our welded bracelet, anklet and necklace service is one of the most popular things we do. A fine chain is fitted to your wrist, ankle or neck and welded closed, with no clasp and nothing to take off. It takes about fifteen minutes. Book ahead, especially on weekends; we take walk-ins when the bench allows.

Repairs and resizing. If an Albisia piece needs attention, bring it in. We resize, repair clasps and re-tip prongs on our own work. We do not work on jewelry made by other makers.

When to come

Current hours are on our Google listing; holiday hours vary, so check before you drive over. Weekend afternoons are the busiest, especially for permanent jewelry. For a custom consultation with room to think, a weekday morning gives you the most time.

A note on the neighborhood

Hyde Park Village is one of those places that reminds you what shopping felt like before everything moved online: independent, local, human in scale. We have been part of this community for years and it still feels like home every time we open the door. If you have not spent an afternoon here yet, a visit to Albisia is a good reason to start.

We look forward to meeting you.
