Hera and Zeus Coin

Zeus is the Olympian god of the sky and thunder. Considered the ruler of heavens and the governor of weather, Zeus was also associated with wisdom and awareness, with authority and destiny, with battles and power.

Hera is the Queen of the Gods, Rules Marriage, Women, and Birth. In images and statues, Hera is portrayed as being majestic and solemn, crowned with the polos - a high cylindrical crown worn by many of the Great Goddesses.

Even before her marriage with Zeus, she ruled over the heavens and the Earth. This is one reason why she is referred to as "The Queen of Heaven" ruling over Mount Olympus where all the gods and goddesses live On the back: Tenediwn is inscribed above a double axe. Below on the right are caps of the dioscuri (castor and polls) and all is surrounded by a laurel wreath.
